Because it's violent.
No matter which side it's on, it's still violence. Let's not kid ourselves -
violence is violence, and one side can be as corrupt as another. One human
is just as prone to give in to greed and violence as another. Having a
position of power creates more opportunity and temptation to become corrupt,
right? But doesn't the same happen in a position of weakness?
I think it is a bit closed-minded to say that power+authority=BADPEOPLE, as
much as it is similarly closed-minded to say that
weakness+oppression=GOODPEOPLE. No matter who you are, your actions make up
who you are in the external world.
