Ochs was also more honest.  Guthrie and Dylan mostly produced
"We're OK; you're not OK" songs. 

Ochs didn't do that. He jabbed the right wing with "Here's to the 
state of Richard Nixon" and "The Cannons of Christianity", but 
jabbed the left wing with "Love me, I'm a liberal" and "Outside a 
small circle of friends"

I also think that Ochs was musically superior. His "power and glory"
and "pleasures of the harbor" are about as good as instrumentals as
songs ever get. Others may disagree, but "I've got something to say,
sir, and I'm gonna say it now."
