the scenery is breathtaking
the history is enthralling (do a bit of research on the irish celtic trad 
and go visit some of the more magickal places while you are there)
the people are really nice
the guinness rocks
i took my first steps there and took a guinness drinking weekend in 1995 
with some flatmates
