[thechat] regular formatting & fresh installs

Dear all,

  I was just wondering what other peoples opinions are regarding,
  regularly formatting the hard drive and doing a fresh install of the
  OS.  - When I say regularly - every 6 months, or once a year or
  whatever!

  I'm currently using W2k on one machine & Win98 on the other, and am
  thinking of doing a format & fresh install of the W2k machine over
  Christmas.
  
  Is it something you do often? if so how often?
