[thechat] Red Hat keeps locking

are you upgrading or installing fresh? if you're upgrading, i'd bet its 
the ximian stuff thats horking the box.

if you've got a fresh install, hit <alt>+<f3>, <alt>+<f4>, and 
<alt>+<f5> to see what its locking up on. doing that will take you into 
a terminal that the actual install script is running in, and you'll be 
able to see what its getting hung up on(like a bad disk)

see whats in those terminals and let me know, you'll work it out :)
