I use @home with my Mandrake Linux and I set it up with a static IP. I just got
the IP that home was giving me from Windows, and plugged that into the settings
as my static IP as I was installing Mandrake. It works beautifully! I needed to
be sure of my IP, though, to access my work Intranet from home. If you are set
on the dynamic IP, I'm afraid I won't be able to help you...

As for email clients, I used to use KMail (comes with KDE if I'm not mistaken
and is nice), but have recently been seduced over to using Mutt (www.mutt.org).
Now I'm trying to get cygwin to work with Mutt so that I can use it on my
Windows machines at work too - I'm in love!!

Hope this helps!
