Hey Chris -

sorry about the late reply here, this slipped through somehow..

actually, if you feel comfortable, don't install any of that stuff at 
first, download and compile it yourself afterwards. for *SURE* don't 
install FTP. redhat still uses wu-ftpd, which is a very buggy ftp 
server. download proftpd if you're going to want FTP.

also, don't install dial-up networking, the kernel source, or other 
obvious things.. and shout if you have more questions :)
