Heh.  It surprises me not a jot that the taller capitol is in a state
bordering on Texas.

That's quite informative, and yet more cause for envy... I've seen the
Texas State Capitol with my own eyes, and it's gorgeous IMO.

Never seen Louisiana's though, 'cept in a photo just now.  For some
reason, it reminds me quite a lot of the old Los Angeles City Hall.

Meanwhile, I'm from Oregon.

The State Capitol here compares favorably only to weathered goose
droppings:
