But that still doesn't explain anything to me. I mean, there's a close
button, a resize button, a minimize button. Scrollbars, arrows, a mouse
pointer. At the top there's the menus: file, edit, view... 99% of the progs
have Preferences located in the exact same spot. If you don't know what
program is currently active you look in the top right corner. You can pull
out a task bar that shows you all the open programs. You use Quit to quit a
prog in every case. Not Exit sometimes, Close others, and Quit when the
developer has chosen. The shortcut keys are identical for 99% of the progs.
I just don't see it as that far of a leap from one os to the other. Maybe
it's because I use them both day in and day out. There must be something
right about them if most of the people who own them defend their choice on a
regular basis, right?
I dunno, I'm not going to keep debating. I just think that some people have
had some really strange experiences with Macs and it's something I guess
I've avoided. Oh well... we all have the right to choose.
