Hi Hugh,

>I'm crossing all the digits for you. Keep us updated with a
>blow-by-blow - oh, that was the previous employer.

<chuckle> Thanks for the well-wishes. I'll let you all know how the
interview turns out. I've had two other instances where I've had
companies interested and done phone interviews, only to have an
internal person step up the the position (in one case) or have them
take the other candidate I was competing against. I think I'm really
getting my hopes up on this one, and that's probably a bad idea.
Still, it's an in-person interview, and if nothing else the practice
will be good...

Stef,

>I'm beginning to think I should do a weblog about my work at France
>Telecom :-)

You might want to make it anonymous, unless you *want* to lose your job.

>And my father doesn't read english. So
>he goes "what's the use". And I feel stupid all at once.

So get out there and get your site up! The more non-english speakers
who do, the more non-english speakers will want to as well. You'll be
promoting a marvelously wonderful vicious circle.

Dave,

>Things are looking... well, there's always next week.

Oh, I'm sorry! Then again, I might be saying that too, after my interview.

>Congrats 'Nuh. You go get em. And hook me up once you get there.

Thanks, and you're now at the top of my list (but will be bumped down
when the next person asks ... that's just how it is ... ;o)

David,

>Don't forget us when you're... ummm...
>rich and famous, or whatever one gets when one has a job at Google.

Doubt I'll ever be rich, don't want to be famous, but either way I
could never forget evolt! Even though it often makes me go !&#% rassa
frassen ?#%! ...

>Even us 'volters who took a year off from webbing to lurk could use a good
>word with the geek-gods.

I think a whole lot of us could use one or two geek-god favors.

Cheers,
Marlene
