Memo from Martin P Burns of PricewaterhouseCoopers

-------------------- Start of message text --------------------

It always occurred to me watching the 1st trilogy that the model was in
fact the western, to the extent that you can almost hear the saloon doors
go "Foo foo foo foo" behind the party as they enter the Mos Eisely bar

Cheers
Martin

In the article, the author suggests that instead of borrowing from the
Campbell-esque notion of a hero tale, Lucas takes ideas from various
science
fiction sources...which are in themselves, classic hero tales. The
argument
is so weirdly circular that he says nothing.
