Oh man.. I can't write using phonetics, especially not in English..

Montreal is a bilingual city, and has been since the English took over from
the French in 1690-something. So the pronunciation of the city name is
somewhere between the English and French pronunciations.

Needless to say, the only accurate pronunciation is the one I use ;-)
