to be fair, you'd have to take in to consideration the size of interland.
they are a *massive* web hosting company.  the laws of averages would
suggest that there'd be lots of complaints that they suck.  there's nothing
really meaningful in the number of complaints you find, only how those
numbers average out against the total number of accounts they serve.  i've
got a friend/client that's an interland reseller and he *loves* them (it
probably helps that he's a friend of one of the vice presidents).  i've had
the chance to work on sites hosted with them and have been very impressed.
i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

now hostcentric on the other hand -- stay the f*ck away from that.  they've
bought so many smaller companies and been bought out themselves so many
times they don't know which way is up.  i've also worked on a couple of
projects hosted with them and have hated every minute of it.
