The big unspoken secret about AU/NZ defence forces
is that they're pretty squarely aimed at Indonesia,
which has a nasty habit of falling into military
dictatorship at the drop of a hat.

That, and in NZ's case they want something to scare
off the French with.  Last I spoke to anyone about
it they were still more than a bit ticked off about
the Rainbow Warrior.
