I used these guys once - great recovery.

I used these folks once, price was higher but they did the job

I know folks that have used this one, but very expensive

I look for one that will take a look at the drive first - for
free - then quote for recovery. My favorite folks in Florida
have shut down their shop - DRAT. They were great.

Google for software if you want to try it yourself. If it's
a mechanical or electrical failure, go to a recovery house
If it's a 'soft' (sector/data) failure, you could try software
and your only outlay is the software. You can always go the
hardware route.
