I didn't mention it earlier, but we, in Pakistan, also always have
on/off switches at the sockets. When I turn the socket switch off, CPU
becomes completely safe. But I have to keep my PC running for most of
the time.

Once somebody told me that manipulating BIOS is manipulating hardware
and I am not good in hardware. Your recommendation is right. I think,
box must be taken to some dealer.
