Just a thought:

Would evolt.org want to take over the 5k Contest? Info below:

The people who have run the 5k (that's us! Stewart Butterfield and
Eric Costello) have always felt bad because they never had time to
bring to life all the amazing things which could make the 5k much
better than it ever was.

Think of the features it could have: custom lists of similar entries,
collaborative filtering, tutorials by the entrants, a better judging
system, availability in other languages! So, it is time to turn this
into a real .org!

We are calling upon those interested in taking charge of the 5k and
developing an organization to keep it going to join this yahoo group
and decide for themselves how it will be. If you want to help code,
design, translate, moderate, or over see whatever the new 5k will be,
sign up there. Then discuss, decide, and we will hand it over:
