And also that weight levels aren't really significantly impacted by
diet.

All of the research confirms it. You might gain or lose as much as 10%
of your body weight through diet. No more. And it's not going to be
permanent. Even if you call it a "change in lifestyle".

About 2% of the population experiences substantial permanent weight
loss each year. That's 2% of the population that goes on a diet, and 2%
of the population that doesn't go on a diet. It usually has something
to do with *other* health problems. For instance, a severe auto
accident, or a severe illness.

Researchers in Britnitwit have concluded that fat is an *organ* that
helps you deal with stress. If you experience a lot of stress, you end
up with an enlarged fat-organ, the same way that people end up with
enlarged hearts or enlarged livers. Ever heard of a doctor telling
people that they need to reduce the size of their heart or liver
through dietary control? No, because it doesn't happen. Doesn't happen
with fat organs, either.

Al Roker says he is happy with his weight loss, but he doesn't look
really healthy every day. Taking off all that weight, though, probably
has made him happier. After all, he doesn't have his father's deathbed
extortion bothering at him all the time, and he didn't have his wife
harping at him to lose weight.
