[thechat] Bi-directional User Interface

Hello Everybody,
I have a little technical question but don't take it too serious on your nerves
and think of it as a part of usual chit chat.

Question: Which computer languages can be used to create a bi-directional user
interface?
Just asking out of curiosity because nowadays I am trying to create such an
interface for a little application.
