Campbell was an american writer, who was specially interested in
red-indian folktales.  He wrote a famous book in the 50s : "A Hero with
one thousand faces"
(the book actually delves into a lot of cultures,  its
probably out of print now...).

Jung was one of the grandpas of "shrink"ology (psychology), I think
even his research was based a lot upon native cultures from various
continents...
