if it makes y'all feel any better, they are bankrupting all of us
little people in their efforts... us regular Americans are indeed
getting what's coming to us for being such apathetic non-voting
losers...

the idea that we can possibly afford a star wars system in these
times completely floors me.

me, I'm looking at how to deal with child care when Portland teachers
are likely to strike for the first time ever next spring.  the public
school system here used to be exemplary, but now is in a state of
crisis.  they are doing things like firing all custodians and hiring
replacement cheap labor, shaving weeks off the school year to save
teacher salary money, etc...

yeah, lets build some big expensive weapons systems... that's the ticket.
