Thanks for all the file-sharing application tips. I poked around a bit, and
was kinda distressed by the profusion of badness out there. :)

However, Judah recommended (in person -- he's to lazy to post his most
useful info to thechat) Shareaza, at
http://www.shareaza.com/

It's fast and easy, doesn't eat you alive with ads & spyware, hasn't crashed
on me yet, and seems to be actively improving on a regular basis.

Which means, of course, that it can't possibly last.

I'll post an update if I find anything else worth reporting. Thanks again!
