Yeah, and more important than the number of NRA members is the size of
their political contributions and lobbying efforts. Couldn't find the
info right away, but I'm quite certain they are in the top five. Along
with other problematic industries: pharmaceutical, energy, insurance
... uh, what was the other?

The government is obviously doing a horrid job of enforcing the gun
control laws that already exist ... the mere fact that one can buy a
gun at a gun show without going through a background check makes any
background check in other situations literally impotent (and the money
spent of the system completely wasted).

Seems if the responsibility to ensure that guns don't get in the hands
of those who would misuse them were placed solely on those who wish to
manufacture and sell guns, the firearm industry would come up with an
effective enforcement system quite quickly. So we need more verdicts
like this:

161135.html>. Manufacturers of just about everything else get sued
because people use their product incorrectly ... why not guns?
