I had a rather depressing conversation with a friend last night.  The
interesting thing he was saying was that US oil interests were going to lose
out if it comes to war.  Basically the Russians and French already have
Iraqi oil nicely tied up, and the only way they'll support military action
against Iraq is if they're promised that those interests will be safe
guarded.  Which throws the usual peacenik (a group I'm happy to be included
in) argument into disarray.
