Sexuality.org is a collection of resources from a lot of different people
and places, and vast quantities of it suck. Their poly resources are good in
my experience, but a lot of other stuff is crap. Read the books touted
previously, really! They are sex positive, for sure.

"Sex Positive" is an embracing of sexuality with the approach that is it
happy, healthy, and good for you. It's an understanding that people are
entitled to choose sexual expression, alone or with others, regardless of
their orientations, physical disabilities, weight, size, kinks, hang-ups, or
anything else. It's about normalising discussions of sexuality from orgasm
to STDs, erectile dysfunction to polyamory. It's about eradicating shame
associated with pornography, masturbation, body image, and everything thing
else that's so damn normal but rarely spoken about.

It is, in short, a highly subversive counter culture. Because in case you
haven't noticed, in most of our cultures, sex is taboo, women particularly
are ashamed of their bodies, our media shows us that sex is only for
beautiful people, our governments ideas of sex education are downright
harmful, porn is only for men, the assumption is that people are straight,
and there is one, highly restrictive and repressed model of life-long
sexuality.

There are other ways, there's better information, there's broader, healthier
thinking. And those things are what being a sex positive activist is about
for me.
