! I think the first Beetle I had was a '69, purchased new.

Before that I had a '59 van (36hp), a really putrid faded green with
the VW emblem up front painted Day-Glo pink and Classic Hippy Floral
Curtains hand-sewn by Classic Hippy Long-Haired 15-Year-Old Chicks :-)
