problem with that is that the colisseum (sp?), the roman empire and the
process of gladiators battling, the thumbs up/down paradigm weren't the
progeny of a fevered scriptwriter, but grounded in fact - you think they
might have gotten that one thing researched and checked instead of
perpetuating what now appears to be a timeworn factual error.
