=> But thousands of microscopic worms -- sent to space in an

=> NASA/Ames Research Center in Mountain View -- managed to 
=> weather both the 
=> explosion and the subsequent crash.

As a NASA employee, I can neither confirm nor deny the explanation as to
why these worms survived. Likewise, I am also not at liberty to discuss
the true origin of the worms. ;-)
