Not that this is a spoiler...but it is such a cliche in many
hollywood movies, they even parody it nowadays in 
other hollywood comedies....

One of <them> characters dies in the end....

<them> ===>  which kind of person invariably dies at the end of every 
2 bit hollywood war movie, of course trying to save the main 
protagonists ?!
