Maybe because I'm not really knowledgable in anything else ever
discussed here, it seems... :) Discussions about vodka? Toilets?
Beer Nuts? Guitars? VCDs? Sorry, don't know crap.

Aha. Then we're probably about equal in that regard (I have about half
of the other CDs and the rest in MP3 only format). I wish I had that
box set, though.

Indeed there is. I generally don't have a problem if it sounds okay,
but Pioneer was the only company that ever bothered to really make it
sound right. There are still *still* (after eleven years) complaints
in the anime community about Pioneer redubbing the second opening theme
to Tenchi Muyo!, Boku wa Motto Pioneer (I am a Pioneer), even though
the dubbed version is actually superior to the original. However,
that's the only dubbed song where I feel that's the case.

Pioneer did a good job with redubbing songs, FUNimation did not. None
of the other companies usually even try.

What's even weirder are shows with lots of in-show music like Chance
Pop Sessions or Nadesico. Most companies don't bother with the effort
of dubbing them, so suddenly the English-language track carries the
Japanese-language song. It's kind of jolting to switch like that.
