8 tacos, huh. I remember the days when I could put away 5-6... but
8, that's quite impressive... are you on some kind of exercise
program? What kind of tacos were they?

It's just, I'm thinking, dang I get $460+ worth of insurance for only
$160. It seems like a such a good deal... wish I could just split
the diff and maybe come home with an extra $230...

>Babies. Fun to make. Fun to eat.

I could probably have eaten 8 tacos when I was pregnant.

I am not hungry enough to eat babies, though... ick.

The only times I know of westerners resorting to cannibalism were
times when people were actually starving to death, and the remaining
people had to choose whether to eat the dead or risk starving to
death themselves. For example, the Donner Party, or during the Siege
of Leningrad. ugh. Awful.

No, not anywhere near that. The kids eat first. I just get to the
point where I can't look at another Ramen noodle (or similar). It's
like, why bother.

Portland is actually not too bad in terms of vegetable gardens to
raid. This is a pretty good time of year for vegetables. At work,
we share our harvests. I trade grapes for zucchini, like that.

>(National Insurance or something) ripped out of your pay is compulsory,

How much do they take out?

that's the thing... you might never need to go to the doctor... or
you might suddenly become sick or injured... it's a gamble.

But I guess life is that way.
