[thechat] No Roundabouts In Japan?

Hi,

There are quite a few here. Not of course in the Old Town, but in the
newest parts (last 100 years) there are quite a few.

Within a 700 meter radius around my university, there are five of 'em.
Plus a couple ones elsewhere in the city (and a couple of tiny ones
too).

It's not possible to pass the driving exam without understanding them
(during every driving lesson, you drive through at least two-three).
Some people of course forget how to drive on roundabouts (or simply
"circles" or "circular road") the second after the exam and avoid 'em
like the plague for the rest of their days :)

Cheers,
Lauri @ Estonia
