Under OS X, it's very easy using Samba.  OS 9 has always been a pain, 
however.  I've used Dave before (many moons ago), but I've never been 
terribly happy with it.  Couldn't give you any real pointers if the Mac 
is on 9 - in my last job when we needed to network the Mac and the PC, 
the best solution for us was just to go ahead and upgrade to X.
