[thechat] Gotta new Mac - now what?

So I went out and bought a 12" Mac IBook, for various reasons.  Mostly 
because I used to use Macs a lot, and really like what they are doing 
with OSX.

However, I have no idea how to use it or what to do with it, where to 
get good software, how to dig into the BSD stuff ( I deal with Linux 
quite a bit), or really anything else.

Any tips, tricks, resources?
