If you're asking a futbol question, ya got me. But in the real world,
the word came from the Greek 'keltoi', which is a pretty unambiguous
indicator of the correct pronounciation of the initial letter.

Not that those people ever referred to themselves by that word, having
too much disdain for pitiful unmanly rabble like Greeks and Romans (when
these dudes sacked Rome, on some fronts they wore nothing but blue dye
from woad plants.)
