Call your local florist for ideas. Some flowers last longer than
others and some wilt the next day. It all depends on how they
were handled up to the time you got them. We usually get
carnations since they last for weeks and take a lot of abuse.
Some of the fresh flowers from our farmers market in season only
last three or four days.
We usually cut the stems at an angle and change the water every
other day or so. I don't know if the additives work that well. It
probably also depends on the type of flower.
You might also ask any beautiful woman in your restaurant about
it. Could be a good way to start a conversation.
  Enjoy, Roger
