I recently stumbled across this one, which it turns out is named for a
friend of mine. It's rapidly becoming a local favorite:

the Richmond Gimlet

Its namesake will be visiting this month from New York, so I'm
planning to bone up on the drink and the bars that serve it, so as to
take him out for a good drunkening.

Of course, the temperature in Cascadia is still a bit wimpy for summer
drinks. We had a pleasantly warm couple of weeks last month, but today
it didn't break 60. July is when we start lounging in earnest.
