[Theforum] Barriers -- let's talk philosophically

I think this is a great statement. :)

Evidence of a structure like this in place within evolt.org is the loose
criteria upon which allocation of MEO webspace is based. Basically, you've
got a (better) chance of getting some space if you've contributed notably --
put in time on thelist, maybe written some articles, helped out on thesite,
etc.

I think that should be extended to voting rights within theforum, and
administrative privileges. It may be that giving priv > 3 = automatic voting
rights.

If you're new but aspire to these rights, you know what to do. If you're too
lazy to contribute in those ways, how will other members know and trust that
you can help administrate, or have the future of evolt.org at heart?
