I'm a part time psychic, mantruc ;)
It's my fallback occupation if I can't cut it in the Web world.

I hate bureaucracy and process for the sake of process as much as the next
person. I've fought against meaningless process for much of my career.

It would indeed be cool if we were all in the same city and the same office
and were putting our heads together to brainstorm evolt.org issues. But
we're not. We're spread out all over the globe, with email our only way of
collaboration. So we need some kind of process to keep things flowing
smoothly. The alternative - anarchy - isn't very appealing.

If anyone has an alternative, reliable method of making decisions other
than voting, please step up and tell us about it. Voting may seem like a
chore and not "fun", and indeed it may not be perfect, but it's the best we
can do given our situation.

I'm thinking of ending my messages with "coldly" to fit in with my
personality ;)

I had suggested that we put this in the X-headers, but the footer will do
just fine. Thanks Adrian. Now, we don't have to worry about messages like
"what was the URL of the wiki/survey?" Now if only we could set up a
http://wiki.evolt.org to redirect to that hard-to-remember wiki URL... :P

Coldly,
