migrating eh?

i know it's your hardware, but some form of warning would have been nice.
when are you planning on reclaiming the hardware in its entirety? will meo
account holders get at least enough warning to get the stuff out of their
meo space?

fwiw, i've never used my ssh access for anything bad you listed on the faq
before you removed the bit about ssh access.

"eggdrop bots, personal DDOS relays, etc)."

and, though you say

"[...] I can't really think of that many things
that one would need shell access for in the
development and use of a web site."

i find ssh to be very handy.

where was the vote to make changes to the faq?

can further changes to meo wait until meo is off that box please?

i suppose the rush to do things like this on the meo box has to do with
this?

in all fairness, you did say evolt.org had until January to get things
squared away. i can appreciate your excitement to get moving on the "next
big thing", but i'm sure not the only one that'd appreciate some
understanding for a short while.

that's just sad to draw a correlation between number of uses and the impact
removing that ability has on someone. without asking, you just don't know
the impact. of the 3 times i used it in the past month, there's no way for
anyone but me to know how important that access was at the time.

seems to be fine now. since i didn't change any settings and it started
happening about the same time you posted the message about turning ssh off,
i wondered if it might be related. not a problem anymore though. so,
either it got fixed by the time i got home, or something got changed on my
computer to make it work again.
