Sitepoint is run by *a company* - they designed their own site, they pimp 
their own publications and products (heavily, I might add), they even 
managed to somehow sidestep Firefox's popup blocker and give me a fucking 
popup window trying to sell me something or other.

I'm not saying Sitepoint is bad, per se, but is it really something we want 
to compare ourselves against or even emulate in the slightest?
