[thesite] Dealing with 404 errors

On thelist a lot of people have been complaining about 404 errors on evolt.
I am wondering if the web server is issuing a 404 header with the pages
because evolt is using the missing template handler on every call. Would a
<cfheader> possibly fix the issues people are having? Is there some other
way to check the header to see what's in it?
