I was just going to suggest that there be some indication of who
assigned a given task - Call it the task owner or some such thing.

That person would have permissions on that task to
approve/accept/whatever.

Have you ever seen RT? It's a PHP bug tracking system (look in
sourceforge or freshmeat - I found it at one of them). It's cool.
Whenever you are assigned something, it kicks mail to you with the
info - task outline, owner, other team members, etc. Worth looking at.

Yeah, we do. These things come up.

Not necessarily the one that signs off on the project. Having the
ability to "own" a project doesn't have to mean that you are able to
move stuff to the live site. I'd hate to limit the owners to only those
folks who were able to do that.

Yup. Good one.

In some of the error catching, I lost some of the input I had given. I
entered 2020 hours for Dan on a project (vacation time) and it didn't
stick when the errors came up.

For job numbers, wouldn't it be easier to just do max(jobId)+1? I
understand about having the ability to edit it for making sub-jobs, but
I think a default value would be cool.

It would give it a meaningful number.
