I used to have problems with a win98 box and some apps I've written, and I 
found problems with cookies being set by CF with a domain specified. If 
you're at http://server.com/ and server.com cookies are trying to be set, 
they wouldn't work for me, unless I was at http://www.server.com/

Could that be the culprit? It might be solely a windows CF/IIS server issue 
though (which wouldn't be a problem on evolt's CF/apache/linux setup).
