What about a slight twist:

1) Poor 2) Average 3) Good 4) Excellent 5) Perfect

I remember once someone saying:

"Perfection is the goal.  Excellence will be tolerated."

I'd expect a 5 article to have no comments other than "bravo", "way to go",
and "for those interested, here are some other links ..."
