although roles would be a 1-to-many off of member, if it's necessary to
distinguish a member's roles


and isaac, please bear in mind my suggestion that you do need some way of
synchronizing your data with oracle and/or the subscription tables (which,
if you'll pardon the grammar, i don't even know how they work)
