good idea.

actually, i figure that actually putting together the question/options will
often be a gradual process (i.e., stemming from discussion on
thesite/theforum for the most part). consider the "announced" flag to be the
equivalent of "taken" for the admin email thingy. i.e., stops someone else
coming in to announce it again.

yeh, probably. saves having an extra default "abstain" option for every
question.

yes, exactly.

(as for the user/member role-based crap, rudy? ditto with all the
numeric/varchar/text/memo/type stuff. are their direct equiv's between
access and mysql?)
