sorry folks, it turns out that all the moderation of *all* the lists
seems to be solely in my hands... i must have not read Dean's email
closely enough...
as a result, i just wandered through *all* the lists and cleaned up
held messages... so you may see some old posts come through on those
lists...
given that i have less time lately to handle lists (especially all of
them now) and can hardly touch them during the business day, please
be patient if you send something and it gets held... my former <5min
turn-around time is gone and won't be back anytime soon...
otoh, if anyone from each list wants to step up and be the admin,
email me, and i'll send you the access info and set you up... it's
not hard... reject a few spam posts every day, occassionally let a
valid post through...
so, three hours of my day gone and i *still* have to get to the
office... ugh...

I do reach a page, but it's the leo home, the one I wanted is the one
that had this content:
1.1 General information
The list is intended for professional Web workers: designers,
webmasters, programmers, what have you. Anything that relates to Web
development is up for discussion.
The list is unmoderated (though monitored), and is maintained and
supported by volunteers.
Individuals who post to the list hold the copyright to their own posts.
1.2 Discussion list guidelines
1. Respect each other. Diversity in Web development is not only
tolerated but encouraged. Argument and debate are fine. Character digs
and personal attacks are not. You are responsible for what you write.
Those who cannot be civil will be removed from the list of subscribers
and will not be permitted to return.
2. Limited off-topic posts are fine; however they must be labelled [OT]
in the subject line. Also, we ask that you "pay" for off-topic posts by
including a Web tip that you find useful. Example:
Include META tags in all of your pages for better search engine placement.
Please stay consistent with the tags, so that our Tip
Harvester can extract them for the archive. If you want to be extra
helpful, your opening tag could be formatted:
Include META tags in all of your pages for better search engine placement.
3. To the best of your ability, keep posts short.
4. Keep your subject lines specific, as many people decide what posts to
read from the subject line. "Help!," "What am I doing wrong?," and
"Arrraugh" are not acceptable subject lines.
If an ongoing discussion drifts from the initial subject, please change
the subject line to reflect the new subject. For example, "e-commerce
solutions" becomes "problem clients (was: e-commerce solutions)."
5. When responding to a post, delete all information that is not
strictly necessary. This includes the evolt.org tag line and .sig files.
Delete anything you're not specifically responding to.
6. When responding to a post, please make it clear who you're responding
to. Not everyone is going to remember who the original sender was.
7. Don't post urban legends, virus alerts or humorous forwards. Please.
8. Don't post copyrighted material. If you think an article would be
helpful to others on the list, provide a link.
9. You must ask permission if you want to forward or otherwise reproduce
a post from a member of the list.

If someone on the admin team could take a look at this and help me out I would appreciate it. (Please also take note of the content of the email I was trying to send.)

The admin list has been discontinued. List management and Web site
management issues should be sent to content at lists.evolt.org.

All of that looks fine. When you do notice a 'failure' try to ensure
that the IP address for lists.evolt.org is correct. You may also want
to try e-mailing here or to me directly and I can check the logs to
see if your message appears or if there are any errors. Also, ensure
that you are mailing to thelist at lists.evolt.org and not something like
thelist at evolt.org.
