Are you sure?  I though .sk was Slovakia (formerly part of 
Yugoslavia).  There are a gazillion sk addresses, see:

And also .su appears to still exist, even if new names aren't being 
registered. For example, www.cgu.chel.su still resolves.


So I'm still unaware of a case of a TLD being removed.
