My employer too (loosely at the moment).

Don't be surprised if it changes...

At the time it was developed, the only way to get 128 bit encryption
in the UK with a sensible development time and cost was to back up the
money truck at Redmond. The public position has always been that
other platforms will be developed as and when practical to do so.

It's just a factor of the stage of the development cycle that they
launched at - to launch it right 1st time would have meant waiting
18 months - 2 years, and not be first to market with a mature
product.

Independent reports are rating http://www.smile.com/ pretty
well at the moment, and I use http://www.egg.com/ for my credit
card - they've just worked out single sign-on for all their products,
which is nice.

But if RBS got the x-platform thing going properly, it'd be
fantastic. The actual product blows the info area:

Yes, we've kicked the electronic banking people up and
down the Royal Mile about that area...
